Raise a glass for St Cuthbert on the 20th of March for St Cuthbert the patron saint of the North East region - Northumbria.
Cuthbert lived on Lindisfarne the Holy Island and his final resting place is Durham Cathedral - built in his honour.
It's time we had a regional bank holiday for the man whose legacy belongs to us.

As a devotee of Saint Cuthbert, I wish you well in your quest to have his feast made a regional or even national holiday.
