Northumbria - whats in a name ?

by reiverman @ 21/11/2007 - 20:47:56

Northumbria University recently announced major investments and improvrovments to its buildings in Newcastle Northumbria University. To those of us who like to see our ancient heritage recognised its great that they use the name Northumbria in their title.
Other regional organisations which also use the Northumbrian name include Northumbrian Water which services the whole region from the Tees to the Tweed and Northumbria Police who cover parts of County Durham, Tyne & Wear and Northumberland.
It would be great to see other companies and public organistions use the Northumbrian name.
